About Me / Contact

Jon, Denise, Hannah & Bella
 Welcome!

I'm so glad you have visited my site.
My hope is that when you are here, you will feel welcome, and inspired.

I live in Oregon, where I was born and raised.  It is a beautiful state, but by February, I am usually wishing I lived somewhere sunny!

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2012.
I love that he makes me a better person, and we have so much fun together.
We like to laugh, ride bikes, enjoy the sunshine, entertain, drink lots of great NW coffee, visit vineyards, and work on making our home beautiful and enjoyable for us.

We have been blessed with our miracle, Hannah.  She was very prayed for, and it was a long and often times painful journey through infertility, but we have our beautiful girl, and we are so grateful!  We love our little family and are so thankful for where it has brought us.

Hannah is more than we ever hoped for, and we are so proud of her.
We love doing things with family and friends, but mostly we love being home together.

Bella, our beloved pug, is like our second kid.  She joined our family in 2007, and has brought so much fun and life to us.  You will frequently see her on the blog.  She loves treats, walks, snuggling, sitting on anything soft and pillowy, and playing with her toys or wrestling with Jon.

I am pretty protective of my kiddo, and limit the amount of photos and info on here for safety.
But Bella gets a little more face time.  ;)

Randomness about me:

Zumba lover.

I like a little coffee with my cream.

Cautious in new friendships, but very loyal when I'm sure the person is nice, trustworthy, and a good person.

I talk to God everyday, and my faith is very important, but I tend to be pretty introverted about it.

Hugs are a necessary part of every day.

So is making the bed.

I have a horrifically loud and embarrassing laugh.  But I love to do it.

I am 40 something, and I have a favorite giant blankie.  Deal.

Jewelry makes the outfit.

The only hair color I haven't tried is black.  It might happen.

Painting is therapy.  I love painting walls, furniture, fabric, canvas....

"Party hostess"is one of my favorite job titles.
So is "mom".

Stubbornness is part of my nature.  It's a blessing and a curse.

I discovered vintage as a way to decorate and add character only since we moved into our current house.  It's an ever evolving / discovery process!

Thanks for getting to know us a little here- I hope you enjoyed this bit.
Denise
