bedroom makeover - day 2 IKEA!

The girlie and I had a great time at IKEA yesterday, shopping for little extras and some furniture for her new room.

We (maybe actually, me) thought we would look for a mid century modern dresser for her space, but she really fell in love with a dark, glass front dresser while we were up there.

The cost was still budget friendly, and it will save me a day or two painting something - especially since the forecast calls for rain for the next week!

She also picked out this cute oversize white / pink hanging lamp shade.
This will be her reading light by her bed.

I adore the little metal aqua side table she picked also.

Just a little bit of storage, and a nice pop of color too.
It has casters on the legs, and it's just a fun, fun, fun piece!

She also selected this pillow,

a faux sheepskin rug

and a textured throw blanket for the end of the bed.

We decided to hold off on too many more accessories until the room is a little closer to being finished, so we can see how everything is coming together.

We had a great time, and I love the memories we are creating!

I picked up a couple items for the house as well, but I will post those later.
;)

Have a great Tuesday~ I'm off to buy some more paint and drop off a few items for my space at Aunt Bee's House!

We're getting an IKEA in the Kansas City metro, and it's scheduled to open next year. I'm so excited!

I'm making a stop at IKEA when we return from Vacation to the Chicago area (normally a 3 hour drive from us). I may just have to pick up one of those white throw blankets for myself. It all looks really fun. I still remember all the fun I had re-doing my teenage room with my mom. Good memories in the making!

Ikea, ikea, ikea - I love that store. I use to live 20 minutes away and now I'm almost an hour away. Bummer :( I need to make a trip out there soon! Everything's going to look so great when it comes together.

Hi,
I found your blog by chance, while peeking others and I decided to check it out! I’m glad I did it, because I am really delighted with yours. It's beautiful, well structured, interesting… and it has completely got me hooked. I think we're going to get along just fine! ;) I'd like to invite you to meet my space as well and I hope you'll have as much fun as I am having in yours!
I wish you lots of success
