Big black birdcage & giveaway winner

Over the weekend I did a little shopping. (ha! What's new?!) I bought a beautiful antique bed frame. I am so excited to get working on it it, but that will be for later. While I was there, I spotted this gorgeous black birdcage. The price was ok. Not amazing, but not terrible.
I left it and then decided I wanted it. So I headed back Saturday morning and nabbed it. The good thing about waiting this time, was that I'd filled up a punch card and got a nearly half off price! $14.50!

It was a great addition to our living room. I wanted something tall and structural. The color was also great to add a little drama.

Super heavy, simple in it's shape. Loving the curly latch.

For now it is a pretty piece for the corner... But I am also mulling some ideas for adding some light and making this a lamp of sorts.
Or maybe not. We'll see.

...and my chair still is waiting for it's makeover!

The winner of the Dark Secrets of Wonderland bracelet from Shabby Apple is:

Kyra from Racks & Mooby!
:)
Congratulations and enjoy your cute new jewelry!

seed catcher bird cage are made in a host of different materials. They can be bought in stainless steel, brass, aluminium and wood. Stainless steel are a common choice because they are strong and tend to last longer. Cages are also made in a variety of different shapes, the most popular and slightly more expensive being round bird cages as they add a more decorative feel to your room.
